*NEW* Anastasia Beverly Hills Nouveau Palette-review, swatches, make up look and eye shadow durability test. Has the ABH done it again?
Hello darlings,
In this post I
am going to be reviewing the new ABH Nouveau palette. Since the pandemic
started and maybe even before, I haven’t been excited for the make up launches
in general because of the overbearing feeling of having a new launche every
single day and nothing just appealed to me as it all felt repetitive and
generic. I was more focused on the skin care. Among the other brands, ABH had also launched a
lot of product especially under the Norvina sub brand but those palettes were
just overwhelming for me and I also did not like the formulation of these palettes.
Nevertheless,
when the Nouveau palette launched, I was intrigued. This is, in my opinion,
very original palette with the unique nudes and shimmers with olive green
undertones. It looks similar to the other palettes such are Tiny Marvels or the
Jaclyn Hill’s palette but it is quite different in the undertone. You can
create both everyday nude looks and glam looks with this palette. I really like
it because of the versatility of the colors and also, I just love green eye
shadows. Nouveau in French means new and for me these olive and gold tones in
palette remind me of the Art Nouveau which is an international style of art,
architecture, and applied art, especially the decorative arts, which was most
popular between 1890 and 1910.
The palette
comes in a green box, and the palette itself is green, made from some textured
material that feels like woven plastic material similar to the beach bags or to the ABH
Riviera palette if you have it. Inside of the palette is gold. Compared to
earlier ABH palettes, it contains 12 versus 14 shades, with larger pans, and it
doesn’t come with the dual ended brush. In this palette, you get more product
compared to earlier palettes; as you get 1.34g per shadow which equals 16.08g in
total versus earlier palettes were you got 0.74g per shadow which equals 10.36g
in total. It is cruelty free, made in USA and the price is little higher than
previous palettes, 55$.
In the photo,
you can see the swatches. Regarding the quality, I don’t think there is a significant change from their previous formulations. Shades descriptions:

Here you can see
the make up look I created, using Paloma, Liberty, Hope and Wings. The only
complain I have, it that I wish that the Muse color was matte instead of being shimmery.
Here you can see
the durability of the shadows after 12h of wearing. I used Milani eye primer.
I think that this is the perfect palette for the summer and autumn, and in the sense of uniqueness it is comparable to the Modern Renaissance palette. ABH did it again!
Until next post,
XOXO
